• Candidates must have Senior Secondary (10+2) with atleast 50% marks alongwith a 2 year diploma in elementary education (D.E.LEd) Or 10+2 with 45% marks and a 2 year D.EL.Ed as per NCTE 2002 Norms, Or 10+2 with 50% marks and a 4 year B.EL.ED Or 10+2 with 50% marks and a 2 yer diploma in special education or graduation with a 2 year diploma in elementary education. In addition, candidates must have qualified CTET (PaperI)  conducted by CBSE and must have studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/ English as a subject at the secondary level.
